#1 pet peeve: dry elbows.
According to this article, I now have to choose between life and moisturized elbows. Oh, what an unfair choice. The question is: is life worth living if it has to be lived with dry elbows? I might rather go ahead and die, but die moisturized. Although the 100 toxic chemicals emitted by my vinyl shower curtain will probably do me in first.

Yeah, the shower curtain thing is a downer - though I am not surprised. As for the death or lotion options - I vote make it yourself!
I have found some good recipes online, I think the trick is having an emulsifying wax (which I have not yet bought)....but after that you probably have all the ingredients already. I'm working on it!
or just stick your elbows in the butter... much faster than shopping for the emulsifying wax, and if you wrap them up in saran wrap it should be absorbed by morning. I KNOW you have butter.
Mmm...I do love butter. I also have a friend that coats herself in olive oil after showering, and then towels or rinses it off - or neither - after 5 minutes. I have not tried that yet, but it seems like it would leave a scent. My sister has found some good natural lotions as well...I'll have to find the link and send it on to you.
Mother, Funny thing you mention butter because I have actually started using it as lip balm. I'm not kidding. It moisturizes and tastes great!
Marianne, tell me when you've perfected home made lotion...do you have any tips on homemade perfume? I tried making lavender perfume and it was a flop.
Bummer about the lotion. Sarah- you've really become Mrs. Butterlips? That's just funny to me.
GROSS! You home-maker DIY types make me ill.
